NOVEMBER 2005

The Open Studio Event in October was a big success. Thanks to all who attended. I am considering holding a similar event in the spring, which will be noted on this page. I have a new Christmas card available for this season, depicting the McIlhenny entrance to Rittenhouse Square in the snow (see image at top right). It will be available for sale at Details on 18th St., between Walnut and Sansom Sts. I have been doing landscape painting this fall from life in Tinicum Marsh and am planning a series of larger paintings based on these studies.

The highlight of my summer was a trip I took to Newfoundland with a friend and fellow painter, Paul Reuther. We rented a remote cabin for about two weeks and each produced approximately a dozen plein-air landscapes. Five of them have been posted on the website on the "Newfoundland, etc" page of the paintings section, and I hope to produce several larger canvasses inspired by this trip.

I continue to maintain an exhibit of roughly 15 paintings in the lobby of Two Penn Center, at 15th & JFK Blvd. My work is also currently displayed in the window of Daffy's department store at 17th & Sansom St. I also am being represented by the Home Works gallery in Westchester, PA.
